experience in the intricacies of carpet repair and conservation. He began with six years in his brother’s shop in Tabriz (northwest
Persia, 1982-1994) and then six more (1994-2000) with the esteemed dealer Maktabi of Lebanon. His work in the U.S. began in
2000 with all the major rug companies in NYC, This led to his opening his own operation in 2011.
His four employees have a total of 18 years of experience and all have previously worked for other shops before being employed
by Metro. The shop is experienced at all kind of repairs including ,foundation replacement, repiling , size and format adjustment (cut
and sew), fringing the ends and resalvaging the sides. Metro does not wash, remove stains or correct colors, leaving this functions
to firms specializing in those activities.
House calls and work in place are available for lesser jobs. All works are done on a per job basis and Estimates are cheerfully

mixed technique carpets. all our wools and silk originates from Persia or Turkey,and are hand spun and naturally dyed.
The current client division is half trade and half private business. Work is undertaken quickly and rugs do not linger unworked-on.
